TBC Classic Phase 3 Countdown! Miss These 5 Things and You'll Be Left Behind

WOW TBC Classic Jun-27-2026 PST

Summary:

TBC feeling quiet? Phase 3 is nearly here—but are you ready for Black Temple, epic gems, and the new PvP season? As a veteran who's stumbled through Outland since launch, I've rounded up the must-knows. And with WoW Classic TBC Anniversary  approaching, you'll face a choice: stay casual or push hard. That decision will define your next few months.

 1. Enchanters, Don't Miss This: +4 Stats Ring Enchant

If you're an enchanter, your first stop should be Lower City for the new formula—ring enchant that gives +4 to all stats. Sounds small, but it adds up across multiple slots. Grab it early before prices skyrocket.

 2. Black Temple: 9 Bosses and Warglaives Await

Black Temple is Phase 3's crown jewel—9 bosses drop Tier 6 tokens and the legendary Warglaives of Azzinoth. But here's the catch: you need an attunement quest to enter, so start running it now. Don't wait until launch day.

Inside, every mob gives reputation with a new faction. Hit Exalted and you can buy a class-specific trinket—great for some, meh for others. Still, everyone's eyeing those orange blades. Drop rate is low, but you've got to try.

 3. Mount Hyjal: 5 Bosses, One Ring That Keeps Growing

Mount Hyjal has only 5 boss encounters, but it's where you trade in your Tier 6 tokens. Warlocks, you're in for a treat—your T6 set comes with wing animations that look absolutely sick.

Hyjal introduces the Scale of Sands faction. Hit Friendly and you can pick an epic ring—one for tanks, healers, casters, melee DPS, and hunters. And yes, that ring upgrades all the way to Exalted. The faction vendor also sells new epic gem designs—save your gold for those.

4. Epic Gems: Two Ways to Get Them

New epic gems are entering the game, and you can get them two ways:

- Mine deposits in Mount Hyjal (requires Mining 375 and clearing some bosses to spawn them).

- Kill trash mobs in Black Temple for a small drop chance.

Also keep an eye out for Heart of Darkness—a new crafting material needed for many epic items. Gatherers and crafters, take note.

 5. PvP Season 3: Weapons Finally Get New Models

Season 3 brings the Vengeful Gladiator set, and the best part? Weapons finally have new appearances—no more sharing the same look as Seasons 1 and 2.

At the same time, Season 2's Merciless gear gets discounted and no longer requires arena rating for shoulders and weapons—just points. That means alts and casual players can gear up easily. And if you hit Gladiator by season's end, you'll earn a Vengeful Nether Drake—a true flex.

6. Nether Drakes Aren't Just for Gladiators

Want a nether drake but don't have the PvP chops? No problem. In Shadowmoon Valley, a quest chain unlocks a new faction. Hit Exalted and you can buy your own nether drake—less flashy than the Gladiator version, but still a dragon! Of course, buying one costs a good chunk of gold, so having some WoW Classic TBC Anniversary Gold set aside is always smart—prices will be volatile early on, and it pays to be prepared.

 Who This Guide Is For

- Raiders heading into Black Temple/Hyjal – know the attunement and reputation rewards beforehand so you don't waste time.

- Enchanters, gatherers, and crafters – learn where new recipes and materials come from, and stock up before prices jump.

-PvP enthusiasts – understand the new season, gear changes, and the drake reward to plan your arena points.

- Casual or new players – discounted gear and a nether drake are within reach without hardcore raiding or PvP.

 Quick Tip

Attunement and reputation are the two biggest time sinks in Phase 3. Start your Black Temple attunement now, and consider saving a week's worth of daily quests to turn in right after launch—that extra reputation will put you ahead of the pack. Also, new gems and materials will be overpriced at first; unless you absolutely need them, wait two weeks for prices to settle and save yourself a fortune.

 Core Benefits for Different Players

- Hardcore progressors – get a head start on attunements and reputation, so you're raid-ready from day one.

- Crafters and gatherers – new recipes and materials are your ticket to early gold-making.

- PvP drake chasers – set clear goals and manage your arena time efficiently.

- Collectors and mount fans – grab a nether drake without stressing over PvP rankings.

Nail these points, and when Phase 3 drops, you'll be calm and collected—not scrambling. Good luck, and see you in Outland!
