Summary
Now that players have unlocked most of the weapons in WARDOGS, it's becoming clear which ones truly dominate and which are just stepping stones. Some players even buy WARDOGS Powerleveling to unlock them faster. This guide breaks down every major weapon in the current meta, with tier placements, use cases, and practical recommendations to help you choose the right gun for your budget, playstyle, and squad role.
Top Tier
M4
The M4 costs $2,800 and is one of the most well-rounded assault rifles in the game. It fires at 800 RPM—matching two of the SMGs—but deals AR damage and has AR bullet velocity. It literally has nearly triple the bullet velocity of some SMGs.
Strengths:
Very nice recoil for its fire rate
Works great in close range
Works great in mid-range
Can stretch range further if your recoil control is good
Verdict: Obviously top tier. Nobody's really going to argue with that.
Galil
The Galil is the weapon that upgrades the AK. It has 35-round mags by default, higher bullet velocity, and more damage because it uses 5.56 instead of 5.45.
Strengths:
Even with average recoil control, you can kill people from very far
With good recoil control, you can kill people from super far
Large default magazine
Verdict: Top tier, but a little bit lower than the M4.
FAL
The FAL costs $6,500 but is a full-auto gun that does around 90 headshot damage.
Strengths:
Fastest time to kill in the game—faster than the Vector
Amazing range to back up that TTK
Full-auto will vaporize people instantly
Weaknesses:
Poor magazine economy
Very expensive
Verdict: Despite its drawbacks, the TTK and range combination puts it firmly in top tier.
Great Tier
MP9
The MP9 costs $900. It has the same damage as any 9mm SMG and is tied for the highest muzzle velocity of any SMG.
Strengths:
Extremely low recoil
Shoots really fast
20-round mags by default that only take up one slot
Can upgrade to a 50-round drum that only takes two slots
Very cheap
Verdict: Top of great tier. I use it for combat medic all the time.
SVD
The SVD is a very strong semi-auto sniper rifle.
Strengths:
Reloads a lot faster than the SKS
Better muzzle velocity
Better accuracy
Does a lot more damage
Weaknesses:
On the pricier side
Verdict: Highly worth it. This gun is really, really good.
BMR-308
The BMR-308 is a bit better than the SVD but a lot more expensive. Marksman rifles in this game are really, really good.
Verdict: Great tier, ideal for players with a bigger budget.
Good Tier
AK-74
The AK-74 is actually quite good on its own: pretty low recoil, very high muzzle velocity, great range, and cheap at $1,600.
Problem: There's a better option that isn't even that much more money (the Galil).
Verdict: Very good for when you unlock it, but you won't use it very long. Top of good tier.
T21
The T21 costs only $600 and has a higher fire rate than the Galil and AK.
Weaknesses:
Very, very high recoil
The M4 is basically a direct upgrade in every way
Verdict: Time to kill is actually pretty solid, but the recoil holds it back. Bottom of good tier.
SKS
The SKS is the first DMR you unlock. With AP unlocked, it can kill with one headshot and one body shot to level two armor.
Strengths:
You don't have to carry magazines
Decent three or four shot against most armor types
Weaknesses:
A bit of recoil
Very slow reloading
Verdict: Good tier, but there are significantly better DMRs you get later.
Pump Action Shotgun
The pump action shotgun can take a scope, use slugs, and basically be used as a sniper or DMR. It's also pretty good up close.
Verdict: Top of good tier. It has its place in the game, but it's not better than a top-tier AR or SMG. If you miss your shots or need two or three hits, it's going to be difficult against those weapons.
Glock
The Glock has 1,200 RPM and does the same damage as any 9mm SMG except the Vector.
Verdict: Good tier. You don't really need a secondary that often, but if you want one that vaporizes people up close, the Glock is the best choice. It does the same damage as the Glock 17 while firing about three times as fast—which is crazy.
Bolt Action Snipers (Mosin-Nagant, SV-98, Mark 22)
Verdict: Top of good tier. If you're a better player, DMRs are generally better weapons. You can engage multiple targets better, and you can actually use semi-autos up close. Bolt actions are fun for sniping from 900 meters, but you're not really doing anything for the objective. They're not "good" just because you can one-shot people from really far—you could be at mid-range killing way more guys.
Mid/Situational
PP-19 Vityaz
Weaknesses:
Lower muzzle velocity
Worse recoil
Worse magazines: can't run the 20s, and 50-round drums take three slots instead of two
Worse overall performance than the MP9, which is also cheaper
Verdict: Mid/situational—might even put it in skip, because the MP9 just does everything better.
MP5
The MP5 has the same fire rate as the Vityaz, a bit more muzzle velocity, and slightly better recoil. Overall, it's just a slightly better gun.
Verdict: Mid tier.
Super 45
The Super 45 is a complete menace. It has essentially zero recoil because of the way the recoil works, and it's a .45, so it does about 30% more damage than any 9mm gun. It puts out numbers similar to a 5.56 assault rifle, but at 1,200 RPM—nearly double the fire rate of the Galil, which actually has more recoil too.
Weaknesses:
Terrible muzzle velocity and range
Verdict: Just use it up close. Even though the range and muzzle velocity are bad, it has so little recoil that it probably has the same effective range as the MP9 anyway. An insane gun, and very scary if you ever run into it.
Double Barrel
With slugs, the double barrel can kind of be used like a budget sniper rifle, and it's only $400.
Verdict: Mid/situational, maybe even skip. Once you unlock a better shotgun, you're never going to run this. You can definitely get kills with it, but I haven't seen it that much since day one.
M249 and PKM
Strengths:
PKM does insane damage
M249 is very controllable
With a bipod or prone, you can absolutely laser people
Weaknesses:
Very heavy
Can't really shoot them while standing
A ton of sway coming out of a sprint
Once your position is given away to a DMR or sniper, they'll probably kill you
Verdict: Mid/situational. When they're good, they're insanely good—like posting up in a window while a whole squad runs across a street. But an M4 is going to be better in most scenarios.
Pistols (Glock 17, Judge, 1911, Deagle)
Verdict: Mid/situational. The Deagle does a lot of headshot damage, but it weighs 2 kg on its own, plus ammo and mags. You don't really need a secondary in this game unless you're sniping. The snub nose is okay, the 1911 is pretty decent, and the Glock is all right.
Skip Tier
Default Assault Rifles
Problems:
Bad muzzle velocity
Bad accuracy
Burst weapons
No attachments at all
Verdict: Skip. Unless you're going for no money at all, just try to get one kill, loot somebody, and get a better gun. Literally every gun you find, you're going to pick up instead of it.
Scout Rifle TLD
This is a single-shot break-action rifle literally designed to be a meme so people will learn to spot with binoculars instead of sniping right off the bat.
Verdict: Skip. The only weapon I wouldn't pick up if I got a kill with it would be the scout rifle. It's that bad.

Final Thoughts
In the current WARDOGS meta, the M4, Galil, FAL, MP9, and DMRs clearly dominate, so when choosing a weapon, weigh time to kill, recoil, magazine efficiency, and price together—not just single-shot damage or range—because the best gun is the one that fits your playstyle, budget, and squad role. If you'd rather skip the grind to unlock these weapons, you can find WARDOGS Powerleveling for sale from trusted services, and MMOEXP is a reliable option worth checking out for fast and secure boosting.
