Summary
The WoW Forever Level 30 PvP tournament is scheduled for October 17, with a Horde-only format and a $50,000 prize pool. Players must create a new character, level it to 30, register, and follow strict inspection and dueling rules. The rules allow many consumables and class buffs while banning several protection potions and Magic Dust, creating a PvP environment where preparation, buff management, positioning, WOW Forever Gold, and class-specific cooldowns can be very important.
1. Tournament Registration and Schedule
Players can create their tournament characters from September 27. The character must be newly created on the designated PvP ruleset, and the required last name is Forever PvP. Players must also register their character through the tournament registration system.
Competitors need to reach level 30 and pay a 15 Gold entry fee before checking in on October 17. Qualifier details are scheduled to be released at least one week before the qualifiers. The top four players from each class can advance toward the finals, where the overall winner will be crowned the tournament's duelist.
2. Character Inspections and Tournament Rules
All competitors are subject to inspections before matches. Players may need to show their bags, talents, equipment, and character panel while streaming to verify that they follow the rules.
Players can only use one character throughout the tournament. They can choose a different talent build for different qualifier stages, but the build cannot be changed once a stage begins. Competitors must also stream their perspective on an approved platform.
Players cannot freely leave the designated dueling area. Offline time is limited to three minutes, while Warlocks receive a special exception to obtain Soul Shards with administrator approval.
3. Class Buffs, Legacy Points and Consumables
Baseline class abilities and class buffs are permitted. Buffs from other players are also allowed when they have a duration of at least two minutes. This means players can potentially prepare with effects such as Blessing of Kings or Fear Ward before a duel.
Legacy Points are also allowed, making account progression another part of preparation.
Most consumables are permitted, but Magic Dust and Fire, Nature, Frost, Arcane, Holy, and Shadow Protection Potions are banned. Food and water are allowed, although duel rules can limit them to three in certain timeout situations.
4. Duel Positioning and Delay Rules
Players begin 20 yards apart. After reaching the required distance, no additional movement is permitted before the duel starts. Stealthing characters can move normally.
The rules also prohibit intentional delays, excessive inactivity, repeatedly fleeing the duel area, or using mechanics purely to stall. A player who intentionally delays or exploits forced movement can receive a loss or disqualification.
There is normally a short period between duels for players to heal, restore mana, and rebuff.
5. Preparing for Level 30 PvP
Because many self-consumables and buffs are allowed, preparation can strongly influence matches. Players may want to carry multiple useful consumables and defensive effects while considering how dispels interact with important buffs.
Druids can benefit from mobility, healing-over-time effects, stealth detection, and talents that help respond to enemy openers. Priests and Shamans remain important matchups because of healing, dispels, cheap WOW Forever Gold, and sustained pressure. Rogues must carefully manage their opener and cooldowns, while Warlocks need to account for Soul Shard management and Fear-based control.
Overall, the tournament rewards players who understand both their class and the detailed ruleset. Since qualifier rules and some procedures may still be updated, competitors should check the official tournament information before finalizing their level 30 build.
