Summary

This guide covers everything you need to know about the Cornerstones program launch in College Football 27, including a free chemistry glitch, how to approach your free Cornerstone player selection, pack strategies, and training roll recommendations — all of which can help you save or earn College Football 27 Coins by avoiding costly mistakes and maximizing your rewards efficiently.

Free 50/50 Team Chemistry Glitch

There is currently a glitch that allows you to add team chemistry at no cost. Navigate to Upgrades, then Chemistry. You will notice a chemistry option that is missing a coin charge — it does not cost the usual 25,000 coins. Select UMass and apply the chemistry for free.

This is an opportunity to build toward 50/50 theme team chemistry without spending coins. While there is no speed boost from this particular chemistry, the additional stat boosts are still worthwhile.

Cornerstones Welcome Pack: Choose Wisely

When you log in today, you will receive a Welcome Pack that allows you to choose one of six Cornerstone players. Each player represents a unique player chemistry built around their position group. Once you make your choice, your Cornerstone is locked in permanently.

Important: Do not select a player immediately. The upgrade paths and final stats for these cards are not visible in the catalog or on external databases yet. Without knowing what each player upgrades to, selecting blindly carries significant risk — you could end up with a card that has low speed or underwhelming stats. Wait for research to determine which Cornerstone provides the best value before making your selection. The pack will remain available in your inventory until you choose.

Cornerstones Field Pass Objectives

Navigate to the Field Pass and select the Cornerstones tab. Objectives require at least two Cornerstones players in your lineup — they do not need to be starters; backups count toward this requirement. You can acquire additional Cornerstones players through booster packs or the auction house.

Weekly Objectives Include:

Passing yards

Rushing yards

Games played

Sacks recorded

Completing all Week One objectives rewards three Cornerstone Skill Point Vouchers. Completing all milestones rewards an additional three Skill Point Vouchers, totaling six vouchers available from this section.

Weekly Event: There is also a Cornerstones event that rewards Head-to-Head tokens. The event reward is an 86 overall tight end with 83 speed, 86 catching, and 78 run block. This card is serviceable but not as strong as recent free Sunday Spotlight cards. The primary value lies in the 81+ player packs available through the event.

Cornerstones Head-to-Head Event Rewards

The Head-to-Head event offers coin rewards and 81+ player packs at various win thresholds. These packs are not BND (Bound), meaning players pulled can be sold on the auction house. This makes the event grind worthwhile if you have the time.

New Cards Available

Jaden Mava (QB): Likely the best quarterback option. 83 speed with 87 throw power. Uses the same release animation as his Core Elite card, which was highly effective. Recommended ability: Off Platform.

Jeremiah Cobb (HB): 86 speed, matching Bo Jackson's speed. Projected price range: 190,000 to 250,000 coins. A solid pickup as a starter or backup given wear and tear mechanics.

Colin Dixon (WR): 85 speed, 6'1", but poor short route running. Does not meet route running thresholds.

Baron Hopson (LB): 83 speed, Thumper archetype. Limited ability value.

Kicker: 82 kick power option available — useful if you need an upgrade at the position.

Pack Strategy

Cornerstones Launch Premium Bundle: This bundle includes premium packs with 81+ and 85+ player guarantees.

Booster Packs: Booster packs now include Platinum Players, making them more valuable than previous seasons. Do not quick sell all booster cards — some can be kept as backups for objectives or used in upgrade sets.

Step Offers: The step offers provide different odds and rewards at each tier. The guaranteed 85+ at the final step makes completing the bundle chain worthwhile, though individual steps may produce lower-value results.

Points Packs: The 279+ and 478+ BND packs offer varying odds. One coin offers are worth attempting for the low cost.

Training Roll Strategy

Training rolls carry significant risk but can yield high rewards. An 85+ player roll costs 3,200 training. The probability of hitting a high-value card is low, and multiple failed rolls can drain your training quickly.

Key Recommendations:

Avoid the opportunity packs — they generally provide poor value

Limit training rolls to surplus training only

Never convert your entire coin stack into training

Accept that training rolls are heavily RNG-dependent and can result in significant losses

If you have training to spare, rolls can be worth attempting, but do not expect consistent results.
