This week's Shimanoyama Region Treasure Hunt is straightforward once you know where to look, rewarding 100,000 Credits and 3 Season Progress Points. Check the Treasure Hunt Clue
First, open the Festival Playlist and select the Series 5 Winter Treasure Hunt. The clue simply says "Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure!" The accompanying image shows a snowy landscape with a dirt road, but there are few distinctive landmarks, making the exact location difficult to identify from the photo alone.
Fortunately, the nearby map landmarks make the search much easier.
Find the Shimanoyama Treasure Chest
Open the World Map and head toward the southern part of the Shimanoyama Region. Look for the Lake View Speed Trap along the Izu Skyline. The chest is located close to this area, near the Taiyaki Scramble Dirt Racing event.
The easiest route is to fast travel to the Lake View Speed Trap if you have already unlocked it. From there, turn around and follow the winding road through the snowy hills. Keep an eye on the side of the road for an open snow-covered field.
The Treasure Chest is positioned beside the road and is relatively easy to spot once you're in the correct area. You can also approach it from the Taiyaki Scramble event and follow the nearby dirt road toward the chest.
Smash the Chest to Finish
Once you spot the chest, simply drive into it. There is no special car requirement or additional objective for this Treasure Hunt. Smashing the chest immediately completes the challenge and grants 100,000 CR plus 3 Season Progress Points.
Those three points also contribute toward the Winter Playlist rewards, including the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR at 20 points and the 2016 Bentley Bentayga at 40 points.
With the correct route, the Shimanoyama Treasure Hunt takes only a few minutes, making it an easy way to earn extra Forza Horizon 6 Credits and progress toward the Series 5 Winter rewards.
