Store Packs and Step-Up Offers
What's Available
Content has gone live and there are multiple coin packs available today, which is somewhat surprising. There are two different sets of step-up offers available in the store.
The Packs
Team of the Year Dual Fantasy Pack
This pack costs 77,000 coins at 50% off. It gives you two times one of three 91 plus overall Team of the Year players. You have a 17% chance of pulling a champion from this pack.
Team of the Year Fantasy Pack
This pack gives you one of two 91 plus players and one of two 89 plus players. It offers a 6.5% chance to pull a champion.
Should You Spend Money?
If you're considering spending actual money today, the step-up offers are your best bet. However, in March, spending this much money on the game is questionable unless you absolutely need the coins. Step-ups are typically the best way to go if you do decide to spend.
Between the two step-up options available, the cheaper one is likely worse value. The more expensive step-up is generally the better investment based on how these packs are typically structured.
Completion Sets: The Main Event
Where to Find Them
The completion sets are located in the item sets section. Use the Team of the Year filter and you'll find four different sets that just unlocked. These are called completion sets, and they are the key to earning the best rewards in the program.
The Four Completion Sets
There are four sets you need to know about. The Honorable Mentions set requires every single 94 overall Team of the Year card. The Specialists set requires a specific group of 97 overall players including Travis Hunter, Rashee Shaheed, Cam Little, Michael Dickson, and Bree Hall. The Offense set requires all offensive 97 overall cards. The Defense set requires all defensive 97 overall cards.
How They Work
When you put cards into these sets, you get all the cards back fully auctionable with full Training value. You can complete each set one time, and you get the cards back immediately so you can sell them as soon as you're done.
Reward Structure
If you complete one set, you get three Team of the Year Upgrade Tokens. If you complete two sets, you get an additional six tokens for a total of nine. If you complete three sets, you get the tokens plus a BND Team of the Year Collection Champion Fantasy Pack that allows you to choose any of the 97 overall gold border champions. If you complete all four sets, you get the previous rewards plus the MVVP pack which contains a random 98 overall LTD with all 32 team chemistries.
The MVVP Pack
The MVVP pack is the ultimate reward for completing all four completion sets. It gives you a random 98 overall limited time player with all 32 team chemistries. These cards are auctionable, meaning you can sell them on the auction house.
Gold Border Cards Explained
How to View Gold Border Cards
You can see the special versions of cards in the catalog. Go to Catalog, then use the program filter and select Team of the Year Collection. This will show you the gold border versions that have all 32 team chemistries.
97 Overall Gold Border Champions
These are the rewards for completing three of the four completion sets. You get a fantasy pack that allows you to choose any of these 97 overall champions. Key facts about these cards include that they are BND meaning you cannot sell them on the auction house. They have times 10 Team of the Year chemistry which is critical for theme teams. They have all 32 team chemistries so they fit on any theme team. Most importantly, they have passive X-Factor buckets that cost zero AP until April 21st.
98 Overall Gold Border LTDs
These are the rewards for completing all four completion sets. You get a random 98 overall LTD from the MVVP pack. Key facts about these cards include that they are auctionable unlike the 97s. They have times 5 Team of the Year chemistry. They have all 32 team chemistries. They also have passive X-Factor buckets that cost zero AP until April 21st. They have two Season 7 buckets which makes them incredibly valuable. The pull is random, meaning you cannot choose which LTD you get.
The Passive X-Factor System
The gold border cards include passive X-Factor buckets that cost zero AP until April 21st. After that date, they will increase in AP cost. These passive abilities do not count toward your X-Factor slot limit and are determined by base attributes.
New Player Items
Limited Time Harold Carmichael
Harold Carmichael is one of the 98 overall LTDs available. He has Deep Zone KO, Season 6 discounts, and Season 7 discounts. He is considered one of the best cards in the entire game. He went to Southern University.
Reggie Bush 98 Overall Halfback
Reggie Bush is available as a 98 overall halfback for the New Orleans Saints. He has Steamroller baked on, ultimate X factors, and good theme team chemistries. Reggie Bush cards have been really good this year in Madden 26.
Terrell Owens
Terrell Owens is available with 97 speed at 6'3. He has Defensive Back Menace and is considered an absolute stud of a card.
Kenneth Walker III
Someone asked whether Michael Vick is better than K9, referring to Kenneth Walker III. The answer is no. Kenneth Walker III is the best running back in the game. However, Michael Vick is really solid and worth maxing out.
91 Overall Players
Among the 91 overall players, Kevin Dotson is likely the best because he has more baked on zero AP abilities. This is also true for the offensive linemen in this group.
Trent Williams
The standard champion version of Trent Williams has zero AP Secure Protector, which is solid. He has commander chemistries and right tackle secondary chemistries.
Solo Challenges and Field Pass
Michael Vick Upgrades
With the new solo challenges, you should now be able to max out your Michael Vick without playing the events. If you won the online event or played the offline event twice this past week, you were already able to max him out. As of right now, if you complete the solo challenges as well as the Field Pass, there are 10 tokens to be unlocked via those two features of the game. You can max out your Michael Vick for free, and the card is actually really solid and definitely worth maxing out.
Free Champion Token Exchange Set
There is a set that allows you to exchange 10 tokens for a random champion. However, Michael Vick is better than a random champion that you cannot sell off, so prioritize Vick upgrades first.
Weekly Spotlight Token Set
If you haven't done this yet, there is a set requiring 65 weekly spotlight tokens. This gives you an auctionable Team of the Year champion that you can sell on the auction house.
Event Updates
CPU Event Player
The new CPU event player is Baker Mayfield. He can be upgraded by using three tokens. He has Identifier baked on and should be pretty solid overall.
Online Event Player
Rod Woodson is your online event player. You get him via the event token. He looks pretty good and is currently valued around 1.7 million coins. If you have him, listing him for 1.7 million right now is a solid move.
Draft Event Updates
The draft event may have been improved, though this needs confirmation. There is an online draft and a BYOT CPU draft available. The rewards appear to be the exact same as before. You can probably earn another event token, which is always valuable.
