1. Levels 10-20: Start With Hennessy and Kerning

Once you reach Victoria Island, Hennessy's Hunting Ground 1 is one of the easiest places to begin.

The map gradually increases in monster level as you move upward, letting newer characters progress naturally from Snails and Shrooms to Slimes, Orange Mushrooms, Stumps, and Green Mushrooms.

It also supports plenty of players, although crowded platforms can quickly reduce EXP efficiency.

Kerning City Construction Site is a strong alternative. Most monsters spawn around the left side, while the scaffolding provides several platforms for parties to divide between.

For a quieter option, Dungeon Southern Forest 1, better known as the Slime Tree, offers dense Slime spawns and an extremely simple layout. Slime Bubbles are also useful for quests and can provide some extra Mesos.

Best early drops:

  • Level 10 weapons

  • Slime Bubbles

  • Quest and crafting materials

Classic World significantly reduces the NPC value of most equipment, but some Level 10 weapons are actually worth more than they were originally.

2. Levels 15-25: Pig Beach and Caution Falling Down

Pig Beach becomes useful around level 15. The hidden map contains Pigs, Ribbon Pigs, Snails, and the rare Iron Hog.

The map naturally separates into three sections, making it possible for melee and ranged classes to find comfortable positions.

Its biggest advantage is the number of useful materials you can collect:

  • Leather

  • Stiff Feathers

  • Pig Heads

These items are tied to quests and crafting, giving them value beyond basic NPC sales.

Another excellent option is Caution Falling Down, located above Kerning City Construction Site. The map is particularly suited to a six-player party, with the top, middle, and bottom areas easily divided among players.

3. Levels 20-35: Bubblings, KPQ and Sleepywood

Kerning City Subway Line 1, Area 1 is one of the best choices when you want enormous mob density. Bubblings spawn across the huge horizontal map, making it suitable for both solo players and large parties.

Rogues can also take advantage of the platform heights to attack multiple levels with jump shots.

Kerning Party Quest is still recognizable, but its EXP rewards have been reduced in Classic World. The bonus stage, however, can remain attractive because Green Mushrooms may drop Pan Lid, while there is also a chance for a valuable 60% Claw Scroll.

For players looking for something different, Damp Forest combines Octopus, Junior Neckis, and Slimes. Its tall layout works particularly well with a player stationed on the upper platform.

4. Levels 30-40: Burnt Land and Junior Wraiths

Once characters enter their 30s, Burnt Land 2 becomes a reliable option.

Fire Boars and Dark Axe Stumps provide useful drops, including:

  • Diamond Ore

  • Warrior Potions

  • Wooden Tops

  • Arwin's Glass Shoe

  • Ilbis Throwing Stars

The map is especially appealing to players building toward throwing-star upgrades.

Line 2, Area 1 in Kerning Subway is another strong choice. Junior Wraiths dominate the map, while Junior Neckis appear on the bottom floor.

The huge number of spawns makes it excellent for parties, while Fire and Holy attacks can perform particularly well against the monsters.

5. Levels 35-50: Ant Tunnel, Evil Eyes and Drakes

Ant Tunnel 1 remains one of Victoria Island's classic grinding locations. Zombie Mushrooms and Horny Mushrooms provide solid EXP while also dropping equipment and useful potions.

If it is crowded, Ant Tunnel 4 offers a similar experience.

For more focused grinding, the Cave of Evil Eye provides dense Evil Eye spawns across a vertical map. Warriors and Ice/Lightning Wizards can make particularly good use of its layout and short-range AoE potential.

Dangerous Valley 1 is another strong transition toward level 40. Fire Boars and Copper Drakes are both vulnerable to Ice, making it particularly attractive for Ice/Lightning Wizards.

Meanwhile, Drake maps remain useful for smaller parties and solo players. Drakes have large hitboxes and fast movement, making them easy targets for classes that rely on AoE.

Their drops are also worth watching:

  • Drake's Blood

  • Dragon Skin

  • Equipment

  • Quest materials

Dragon Skin can be useful for crafting, while Drake's Blood can provide a temporary weapon attack boost.

6. Levels 45-60: Forgotten Hollow Becomes Important

Classic World-exclusive Forgotten Hollow introduces several new training opportunities.

Valley of Death combines Rafflesia with Zombie Mushrooms and Zombie Lupins. Rafflesia offers a strong EXP-to-HP ratio, while the upper floors provide useful quest drops.

End of Fleeting Light is another excellent party map for the late 40s and 50s. Its mirrored layout and dense monster population make it easy for a full party to maintain spawn efficiency.

Around level 50, Golem's Temple Entrance is still worth visiting. Stone Golems have enormous hitboxes, allowing many classes to hit multiple targets efficiently.

The biggest attraction is the famous Tobi Throwing-Star drop, which can be extremely valuable to Assassins.

7. Levels 50-70: Focus on Efficiency or Loot

For the early 50s, another Sanctuary in Forgotten Hollow offers Rotten Mushrooms, Sporewoods, and Golden Sturges. The monsters can drop Level 50–60 equipment and are weak to Holy damage, giving Clerics an advantage.

After level 60, however, Victoria Island becomes less efficient for pure EXP. Monster EXP-to-HP ratios begin falling off, so players focused exclusively on leveling may want to move elsewhere.

Those who prefer valuable drops can continue exploring Dangerous Valley 2 for Steely throwing stars or hunt higher-level monsters for rare equipment.

Final Thoughts

The best MapleStory Classic World training spots change considerably as your character gets stronger. Early players can rely on Hennessy, Kerning and Pig Beach, while the 30s open up Burnt Land, Junior Wraiths and Ant Tunnel. By the 40s and 50s, Forgotten Hollow, Drakes and Golem's Temple become increasingly important.

Once you reach level 60, however, the decision becomes less about finding one perfect map and more about choosing between maximum EXP and valuable loot. Knowing what each location offers can make the long journey to level 70 much more rewarding, especially if you are looking to earn MapleStory Classic World Mesos for sale through valuable drops along the way.
