The Amazon class in PoE 2's Dawn of the Hunt patch is in a tricky spot since it has so many different variations - it's almost impossible to settle on the best one. You'll see Amazons using bows, crossbows, and spears with varying main skills.

So, I've decided to share a strong leveling build with you instead. Here's an easy Amazon build to follow that will take you to the endgame and could scale well enough to finish PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt's hardest content.
Best Huntress to Amazon Leveling Build in PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt
Melee and Ranged Hybrid Rake Leveling Setup
The Huntress's skills are quite underwhelming at the start. You'll try to get Rake fast, along with Disengage, for AoE clearing and mobility.
You want to get a spear with high physical damage and try to get Iron Rings for more physical. For the rest of your equipment, try to get life and resistance wherever you can.
Movement speed on boots also helps a lot, especially for the Huntress's playstyle.
If you want to push for the Rake build, you want to support it with Stomping Ground eventually.
Stomping Ground works wonders for the Rake build, as it deals 100% to 150% of your strength as physical damage. You'll want to take some strength passive nodes to scale the damage.
Eventually, you'll want to add the Brutality support gem to buff the bleed damage, too.
You want to spec into Stalk and Leap (your playstyle should play off of this skill), Perfectly Placed Knife, Wasting, and Fast Acting Toxins. Buff your bleed effects as much as possible. Things will get a little tough, but you can get some Venopuncture rings from trade for some Exalted Orbs.
It could cost a little less or a little more, depending on if the ring becomes popular. It is a new, unique item in Dawn of the Hunt, so there's not much tech with it yet.
Use Disengage as your mobility skill and add Bloodhound's Mark to help you against rares and bosses. You can also try to buy a Horns of Bynden unique for its early strength bonus and get the Rage tech for your build. It should be a massive damage boost in the campaign.

Bow Lightning Arrow, Stormcaller, Gas Arrow Leveling Setup
While you start with a spear and skill for it, you can easily switch to a bow once you find one. You'll use the Lightning Arrow once you find your bow, but in the meantime, you can use Rake or Thunder Spear until you find a bow.
Once you get to level 14 or 28, you can switch to using a Stormcaller Arrow or Gas Arrow, respectively. You'll want flat elemental damage from your rings, bow, quiver, and gloves.
Being melee is tough, especially since the Amazon relies more on parries early on. It is not ideal, so most players go ranged and play it like a Mercenary or a Ranger.
When you switch, you want Freezing Salvo, which has excellent burst damage for elites and bosses. Use this on cooldown, even against clumped-up non-elites.
Your next switch (level 28) would be to the Gas Arrow and Flame Wall setup. Use Flame Wall to ignite enemies, and Gas Arrow should explode on impact. You'll use this until the endgame. Make sure to use a Dualstring Bow for the extra arrow projectile. It starts dropping when you reach level 28.
