Nightveiled Rotheap is a roaming creature found in the Wetlands during the WOW Forever Gold beta. 1. Find Nightveiled Rotheap in the Wetlands
Nightveiled Rotheap patrols through the Wetlands, traveling from the bottom of the dam toward the ocean coast before returning. It normally follows the main river, although it can occasionally move north.
Because it is constantly moving, finding it can take some time. Players can use /target Nightveiled Rotheap to locate it more quickly when it is within targeting range. Its exact level remains uncertain during the beta, including around the level 20 testing range.
2. Combat and Spawn Information
Nightveiled Rotheap can be slowed, making it relatively easy to control during combat. Hunters have an especially simple time dealing with it because they can maintain distance and kite the creature effectively.
An early report claimed that Nightveiled Rotheap only spawned at night, but later testing showed that this information was incorrect. Players on the PvE ruleset successfully killed two around 6:30 PM server time. Therefore, players should not wait until nighttime to search for it.
As WoW Forever is still in beta, its final spawn behavior and level may still change.
3. Rotheap Inards Drop
Nightveiled Rotheap has a 100% chance to drop Rotheap Inards. The item follows party-style loot rules, and beta testing has confirmed that all eligible members can receive it.
Importantly, this also works in raids. Players reported that everyone in their raid could loot Rotheap Inards after defeating Nightveiled Rotheap. This makes organizing a raid a practical option when several players want to obtain the item at the same time.
During the beta, Rotheap Inards is Unique but not Bind on Pickup. It can also be turned in regardless of cheap WOW Forever Gold the character's level.
4. Exchange Rotheap Inards for Malignant Root
Take Rotheap Inards to The Greenwarden in the Wetlands. When the item is in your inventory, speaking with The Greenwarden unlocks an additional dialogue option that allows you to exchange it for Malignant Root.
There is one major limitation: Rotheap Inards can only be turned in once. Players cannot repeatedly exchange multiple copies for additional Malignant Roots. This makes the item a one-time reward rather than an unlimited farming opportunity.
5. Alliance and Horde Turn-In Restrictions
The current beta testing also reveals an important faction limitation. Alliance players can use The Greenwarden's dialogue to complete the turn-in, while The Greenwarden remains hostile to Horde characters.
Players specifically asked whether a Horde-equivalent turn-in exists, but the available testing does not confirm one. Therefore, Horde players may be able to loot Rotheap Inards, but they currently cannot use The Greenwarden to obtain Malignant Root.
Since WoW Forever remains in beta, the faction restriction and reward system could still be adjusted before release.
